About

Pocket Verdict started as a group chat where a few friends kept arguing about which mobile games were worth the storage space. At some point we figured the notes we were passing around might be useful to other people, so we turned it into a small site. Nothing fancy — just the games, our impressions, and enough detail to help you decide.

Every game we cover gets played properly. That means past the tutorial, past the shiny opening, into the part where a game either keeps you interested or starts repeating itself. We take notes on controls, pacing, how it feels on a mid-range phone, and whether it respects your time.

We pick titles from every corner of the store: brain-benders, sprawling role-playing games, tight little arcade loops, strategy sims that eat your evenings. Genre snobbery isn't our thing. If a game does something well, we want to talk about it.

The site is run in our spare time and stays independent. Studios don't get to preview or approve what we write, and that's the whole point.
