The Best Genres for Two-Minute Sessions

Mobile play happens in stolen moments: a queue, a train, the ten minutes before a meeting. Some genres handle that beautifully, others fight you the whole way.

Puzzles and arcade racers are naturals. A single puzzle or a quick lap gives you a clean start and stop, so you never lose progress by putting the phone away. Casual collections work for the same reason — short loops mean short commitments.

Deep RPGs and strategy games are trickier. They're rewarding, but they punish interruption. I've lost a good strategy match to a phone call more than once. If you love them, save them for the couch, not the commute.

The best test is simple: can you stop after ninety seconds without feeling robbed? If yes, it belongs in your pocket for the boring parts of the day.
